Voting Rules

The board only means something if everyone believes it. Here is exactly how it works.

One vote per person, per race

Your vote is tied to a verified phone number or email. You can vote once in each race cycle — you cannot vote again, and you cannot switch drivers once your vote is in. Writing your number a different way doesn’t create a second vote.

Every vote is verified

We text you a six-digit code and you enter it. That code is what proves a vote came from a real person with a real phone. Votes that never complete verification are never counted.

Voting closes an hour before the green

Each cycle closes at 6:00 PM ET on race day, so the winner can be announced at the track that night.

Ties go to whoever got there first

If two drivers finish a cycle on the same number of votes, the one who reached that total earlier is placed higher. It is decided by the clock, not by us.

Weekly finishes earn season points

Race-cycle placings score 10, 7, 5, 3 and 1 points for the top five. Raw vote totals do not carry over — one big week can’t decide the season, and everyone starts the next cycle with a real shot.

We watch for gaming, and we void what we find

Vote patterns are monitored — bursts from a single source, repeat signups, automated traffic. Votes found to be fake are removed and the board moves back down. Drivers are not penalised for the actions of someone else’s fans, but nothing fake is allowed to stand.

Your number is not sold, and texts are optional

Your number is used to verify your vote. Race-night texts are a separate, optional opt-in you can decline and still vote — reply STOP any time to end them.
