About the World Crown 300
The World Crown 300 was first run in 1983, and Dick Trickle won it. For decades it was held at Gresham Motorsports Park in Jefferson, Georgia. Casey Roderick won the last World Crown there before that track closed in 2014.
The winners list includes Darrell Waltrip, Rich Bickle, Gary Balough, Bobby Gill, Ronnie Sanders and Chase Elliott. Paul Kelley has won it more than anyone: four times, in 2001, 2006, 2007 and 2009.
Cordele Motor Speedway brought the race back for its 32nd running in October 2024, and Michael Hinde won it. In 2025 the race ran under the ASA Southern Super Series sanction, and Jake Garcia won.
In 2026 the World Crown 300 decides the ASA Southern Super Series championship. It is the first time the series has decided its title at Cordele.
