About SpeedFest

SpeedFest opens the short-track season for Super Late Models. It began in 2005 at USA International Speedway in Lakeland, Florida, moved to Lanier National Speedway in Georgia in 2009, and has been held at Cordele since 2012.

Its Super Late Model winners include Kyle Busch, Chase Elliott, Harrison Burton, Chandler Smith and Corey Heim. Bubba Pollard of Senoia, Georgia, won four straight at Cordele, from 2022 through 2025.

A Pro Late Model race joined the program in 2009. Its winners include Chase Elliott, John Hunter Nemechek, Casey Roderick, Bubba Pollard, Stephen Nasse and Augie Grill.

Track Enterprises promotes SpeedFest, and it is part of Cordele's SuperFest schedule, which builds to the World Crown 300 in October.

The 2026 edition, set for January 23–24 and billed as the 21st running, was postponed because of incoming weather and travel concerns and did not run as scheduled.
